Metrohm DropSens Newsletter

Dear Researcher,
In order to increment the number of materials available in our different SPE formats, you have now also thin-layer SPEs in BT Gold and 8X format SPEs modified with Streptavidin.

Also, this month we have launched a new section in our website where you will find all you need to know about spectroelectrochemistry! We invite you to read this page and also to join the spectroelectrochemistry workshop that will take place in July in Huelva (Spain).

Circular BT Gold TLFCL Screen-Printed Electroes (ref. TLFCL210BT-CIR) are now also added to our catalogue. BT Gold shows exceptional properties for SERS, making these SPEs a sensitive and cost-effective alternative in comparison with other SERS substrates. These electrodes are highly recommended to perform RAMAN experiments in flow conditions. Also, you can use the TLFCL SPEs in combination with the already available ref. TLFCL-REFLECELL and the suitable adaptors to perform UV, VIS or NIR spectroelectrochemistry in flow conditions.

Streptavidin modified 8X format SPEs

Metrohm DropSens launches 8X format SPEs modified with Streptavidin (ref. 8X110STR). Streptavidin modified SPEs provide a stable high affinity surface for a large amount of biotinylated molecules, providing a versatile and multiplexed platform for the development of several (bio)sensors. The 8X format array is designed for the development of multiple simultaneous analysis with multichannel instrumentation like the 8 channel Multi Potentiostat/Galvanostat µStat 8000.

Metrohm DropSens - Electrochemistry Workshop
Spectroelectrochemistry workshop and new website section

Similar to a blog,  we have created a new section in our website dedicated to spectroelectrochemistry that will be updated on a regular basis and where we will publish relevant information describing the advantages of this powerful technique and the improvements in the instrumentation.
In addition a free spectroelectrochemistry workshop, including practical sessions, will take place during the XL Meeting of the Specialized Group of Electrochemistry of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry and the XX Iberian Meeting of Electrochemistry that will be held in Huelva (Spain) from the 9th to the 12th of July. Inscribe yourself in the workshop when filling the registration to the meeting and take the chance to learn why spectroelectrochemistry is becoming a leading technique in scientific research.
