DropSens is an Innovative Technology-Based Firm founded with the aim of being a leader in the electrochemical biosensors market. Its activity is located in Oviedo (Asturias), Spain.

DropSens develops and commercialises biosensors based on thick-film hybrid technology. These biosensors, in combination with portable instrumentation, use microvolumes of sample and are applied in different areas such as clinical analyses or environmental control.

DropSens has obtained funding by a participative loan signed with the “Sociedad Regional de Promoción” of the Principality of Asturias.

The main activity of the company is the design, fabrication and commercialisation of electrochemical screen-printed devices that are used as (bio)sensors. Using thick-film hybrid technology, DropSens bets for the innovation and the quality as its signs of identity.

As recognition of these characteristics, DropSens has been credited as an Innovative Technology-Based Firm (EIBT) by the National Association of Spanish CEEIs (ANCES).
