The Company

DropSens is a company founded as a spin-off of the University of Oviedo in 2006.

It is located in the SCTs Building on the University “El Cristo” campus.

DropSens has obtained funding by a participative loan signed with the “Sociedad Regional de Promoción” of the Principality of Asturias.

The main activity of the company is the design, fabrication and commercialisation of electrochemical screen-printed devices that are used as (bio)sensors. Using thick-film hybrid technology, DropSens bets for the innovation and the quality as its signs of identity.

As recognition of these characteristics, DropSens has been credited as an Innovative Technology-Based Firm (EIBT) by the National Association of Spanish CEEIs (ANCES).
